2009 Patrol Scheduling, BikeSource & Training Day
Posted May 13, 2009
Thanks to all of you who have sent in your patrol dates. The calendar is filling fast but there are plenty of available dates that need to be filled.
BikeSource is back again. For the eighth year in a row, BikeSource has stepped up to the plate and is supporting the patrol with disposable items such as tubes, patch kits and water bottles. In addition, they provide an in-store discount on many items. If you are not familiar with BikeSource, the original store is located at University and C-470. Stop in and say hi to Bob Copeland, Matt and the rest of the gang. The new store is at Colorado Blvd. and Yale. So when it's time to get some new bling for your bike, stop by and check them out. You'll be happy you did. Thanks again BikeSource.
The patrol training day is Saturday, May 23 and is mandatory for all new patrollers. We'll meet at the USFS office in Morrison. We'll begin at 9:00 am and spend about 2 hours there reviewing policies and procedures. When were finished, we'll head up to Buffalo Ck., have a some lunch and go for a ride. Post-ride refreshments will be served. We should be finished with the ride by 4:00 pm. If you haven't RSVP'd., please do so as soon as you can. So bring all your biking gear and an appetite for fun.
That's it for now. If you have any questions about this stuff or anything regarding the patrol, please do not hesitate to ask.
